Reflect, reset, and soothe your way into the week.
Welcome to Sunday Soothies, where we say ‘heyyy’ to Sunday Scaries and then get back to what matters most in our life. Cozy up with your favorite drink for some tips, tricks, and community to soothe your way into your upcoming week!

Examine the plus side of being anxious. I’m about to call some people out! Don’t hear judgment, hear confession 🤟. One reason our anxiety hangs out wayyy longer than we’d like is because it’s serving us in a lot of positive ways. Are you the planner, the fixer, or the one that has it all together in your circle? Sometimes assuming that as our identity in all circumstances leads us to rely on anxiety way too much! And we get a lot of praise for being the person doing the most. Try this: for one hour this afternoon turn that identity off. Choose an action in line with your values vs. getting pushed around by your mind 🧠
Cry it out. Sometimes we are so determined to ‘feel better’ that we forget to feel the uncomfy stuff first. Try this: get a playlist going of a few songs that really connect you to your feelings. Give yourself some space to be down, sad, angry, tearful, whatever you need. After 15 minutes, ease gently back into your life.
Go check out the freebies from Teal Days! I recently got a little refresh on my laptop home screen. Teal Days has Notion templates, wallpaper backgrounds, a YouTube channel and more. Make the most of your digital space to add some soothies to your life.

Here is a sneak peek of the background on my laptop I got from Teal Days 😊

Committed Action of the Week:
This week, I will NOT FORGET that it is Valentine’s Day on Wednesday. Here is your reminder too!

Little Women | This reading choice is brought to you by the book club I recently joined. In case you missed the plot in high school (or forgot!), this book was published in 1868 and tells the tale of the 4 March sisters coming of age during the American Civil War. Sometimes you have to stop and read the classics!

Mario and Sleep Playlist on Spotify | 90s fam - this is the ultimate mix of nostalgia and soothing. Behold, the instrumental version of Mario N64’s music. Check it out when you drift off to sleep tonight 🍄

11 Ways to Simplify Your Life with Jules Acree | Jules has a way of making productivity feel gentle yet motivating. Check out her most recent YouTube video with some tips and tricks to simplify your life. I love the idea of a cart checkout day - check out the video to see what she has to say about that tip!
